Aguu: Genius Dolls

Ai and Machi are 16-year-old ballet dancers living in Beijing. Ai, a hard worker who lacks natural ballet talent, feels envious of Machi—who possesses both beauty and talent—and falls into self-loathing. One day, Ai meets Luo Zheng, the author of a strange book.

Ai learns of the existence of the "Evil Doll" (Agu) that Machi harbors. Luo Zheng, who calls himself a "Savior" dedicated to rescuing geniuses transformed into dolls by evil magic, asks Ai to cooperate with them. Meanwhile, Machi takes Ai to a certain location...

After stepping into the Evil Doll market, Ai is told by Machi, "I'll give you one of the Evil Dolls I own." Ai attempts to affix a talisman—given to her by Luo Zheng—onto Machi and the tailor Money Sherlock, but Money notices her.

Having suffered severe burns and sworn revenge on Ai, the girl is discovered by Elbato and reborn as the tailor Christie Ross. Meanwhile, Ai, determined to save Machi, decides to join forces with Luo Zheng and the others, becoming the Savior known as Wu Ai Xiao.

While Luo Zheng—disguised as a monk—listens to a mother and child who had visited Hilson, Luo Bu storms into Hilson's office alone. Luo Bu sets the office on fire and corners Hilson, but is sternly scolded by Luo Zheng, who rushes to the scene...

Upon learning that Hilson had merely been manipulated by the "Puppet Art," Ai and the others decide to speak with the mother and son who had visited his office. There, they discover that the son, Li Bai-Mian, is a true genius—and at risk of being turned into an *Akugu*...

Luo Zheng visits the mansion of Li Chun-Zhen and Li Gang, only to realize it is a trap. Li Chun-Zhen is in league with the astrologer Huang Ying-Ying—also known as the seamstress Hilson Locke. Before he knows it, Luo Zheng finds his body ensnared by the threads of Huang Ying-Ying's "Puppet Art."

The fierce battle between Luo Zheng and Huang Ying-Ying continues, with Huang Ying-Ying holding the upper hand. As she faces the wounded Luo Zheng, Huang Ying-Ying begins to recount her history with Li Chun-Zhen. Amidst their clash, Li Chun-Zhen slips away from Li Gang's mansion; her betrayal extends even to Ai.

Li Chun-Zhen and her son are en route to Los Angeles on a private jet. Li Bai-Mian demands to know why his mother subjected Ai to such an ordeal. Suddenly, Luo Zheng and Huang Ying-Ying appear before them. Huang Ying-Ying confronts Li Chun-Zhen for betraying even her, but...

After the demands of Luo Zheng, Huang Ying-Ying, and Li Chun-Zhen are met, Li Bai-Mian becomes Luo Zheng's apprentice and assumes the role of a Savior. Ai manages to escape detention with the help of Carlichi's subordinates. However, upon arriving at Hong Kong Airport, she finds Elbato waiting for her.

Li Bai-mian, who had been captured by Elbato's henchmen while fleeing with Ai, is rescued by Li Gang and Huang Ying-ying. When the two rescuers find themselves in a tight spot against the henchmen, Li Bai-mian uses his wits to save them. However, Elbato appears, plunging the group into even greater peril.

Despite their irreconcilable differences, Ross ultimately refrains from delivering the killing blow to Ai. Ai rushes to assist Li Bai-mian, who is locked in a desperate battle with Elbato. Fighting Elbato alongside Huang Ying-ying, Li Bai-mian finally awakens as a "God-Gifted Genius"...
