In a glorious finish to the race for the Premiership crown, Chelsea thumped arch-rivals, and nearest challengers, Manchester United 3-0 to win back-to-back titles for the first time in their history. The party could finally begin! In their Centenary season Jose Mourinho's men were in a league of their own and left their rivals trailing in their wake. The mighty Blues scored more, and conceded fewer, goals than any other team in the country and Stamford Bridge became a fortress with only two points dropped at home all season. Led by the colossal John Terry, Chelsea proved they were not one-season wonders and are a force to be reckoned with in world football. From the opening victory against Wigan Athletic, to the trip to Newcastle United, every game and every goal from the season will be featured in this feast of action packed football. This programme will remind all fans why Chelsea are the champions!

Chelsea FC - Season Review 1998/99

Another European Semi-Final, 2 domestic Quarter Finals & 3rd place in the Premiership. With the acquisition of Casiraghi, Ferrer and the World-Cup winning Marcel Desailly, expectations were high with the Stamford Bridge faithful and the boys in blue never let them down. An incredible 21-match unbeaten run saw Chelsea top the league at Christmas. Despite being devastated by an injury to Casiraghi, the loss of Laudrup & 3 months without the irrepressible Gustavo Poyet, the team rallied round and challenged for the title all the way to the end. Chelsea finished the season with their highest position for over 29 years and a place amongst the European elite : THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, for the first time. The start of his real marathon is underway. The history of sport extends to the history of Algeria and France. This documentary retraces the different stages of the life of this great champion, not only the history of sport but also the great story. Archival photographs and interviews mingle with the painted paintings. The series thus once again gives voice to this forgotten hero, one of the great heroes of immigration who defended France for more than a century.

“The Conquerors of the Impossible: Group Portrait” is a documentary on free climbing which takes place in the Verdon Gorges and Toulon. It was directed by Bernard Dumont in 1986 and produced by Les Films du Soleil. It is part of the series The Conquerors of the Impossible (3-3). There we find Patrick Berhault, Patrick Edlinger, Eric Escoffier, Christophe Profit, Laurent Chevallier, Jean-Paul Janssen and other pioneers of free climbing.

The Impossible Hour

The Impossible Hour is a concentrated study of Ole Ritter's attempt in Mexico City in 1974 to set a new record for the hour - described in the film as "the noblest, most difficult record that can be set on a bicycle". A brief retrospective in black and white sets the historical framework, with shots of Ritter and Eddy Merckx' successful record attempts in 1968 and 1972 respectively, and a few words about former record holders such as Fausto Coppi.The film follows Ritter's three record attempts chronologically, which, accompanied by a Mexican marching band on the bandstand, all fail.

Chelsea FC - Season Review 2019/20

Chelsea finished third in the Premier League last season, albeit a staggering 25 points behind second-placed Liverpool, and started life under a new manager with club legend Frank Lampard taking the reins. With a transfer ban impacting the west Londoners' business, and the Covid-19 pandemic causing unprecedented disruption mid-season, Chelsea finished the domestic season narrowly losing the FA Cup final to Arsenal. Despite the disappointment, a 4th place finish secured on the final day of the Premier League campaign guarantees the Blues will be playing Champions League football in the 2020/21 season.
