The James Andersen collection documents over 50 years of community life in and around Makkovik, Labrador. The stories that accompany "Uncle Jim's" work explain why for over 50 years he has never been without a camera as he documented daily rituals and life. Andersen does not shy away from telling these stories but shares them with conviction and with a voice that honours each event's importance; the church being rebuilt, fish being caught, and stories of sickness and death are each told with the same reverence.

Mr. Lukas, a deaf traveling tailor in a small village, unintentionally receives a wrong delivery from one of his customers, Mrs. Siti. Wanting to return the item a piece of intimate clothing he is spotted by Mrs. Siti's neighbor, who misinterprets his intentions. What begins as a simple act of kindness quickly spirals into suspicion and public humiliation. As gossip spreads, Mr. Lukas becomes the target of harsh accusations, unable to defend himself against the villagers’ judgment due to his disability. In a world that claims to be understanding, he learns how easily silence can be mistaken for guilt.

Lavanderman - Truth or myth?

A three-member television crew from Zagreb comes to the island of Hvar to do an interview with Boris Buncuga, also known as Lavanderman, the first islandic superhero who fights againts moths, mosquitoes, insomnia, headache and vertigo with his lavander powers. Boris gained nationwide popularity after the publication of two comic books about his adventures, but he has so far stubbornly refused to talk to the press. It soon becomes clear why this time Boris bowed: Lavanderman does not hide his affection for the beautiful female journalist. In the meantime, through conversations with a number of characters, complemented by archival footage and narration, we learn the truth about this comic book hero.

The military dictatorships, which held power in El Salvador, instituted a way of governing the country that became unsustainable. Electoral frauds were evident, and despite all this, the military continued to perpetuate themselves in power. Little by little, the gap between social classes began to widen, aggravating differences, while inequality grew disproportionally. Due to the lack of opportunity to improve the quality of life of Salvadorans via a political path, guerrilla organizations as well as an armed conflict emerged.
