A brave country girl's colorful rise to fame as a cumbia singer in Paraguay.
In the midst of the military dictatorship, a calm silence surrounds the peasant life of a grandmother and her granddaughter in the interior of Paraguay, until a sudden absence makes it unbearable.
The masks we wear end up using us. A different character to each of the people in his life, a stranger to himself, Jorge Torregrossa constantly faces the loss of his own identity. A mysterious voice on the phone warns him that an irrevocable event is approaching in his destiny, meanwhile Torregrossa runs through the labyrinth of his existence, looking for a way out before it is too late.
The story takes place in Luque, on the banks of the Yukyry stream, where Juanchi is going to take a dip after playing soccer on a hot summer afternoon. The child plays innocently in the stream when he suddenly shows respiratory failure after ingesting some water. It happens what is least expected, all the people dress in mourning for the tragic death of this child, thinking that he died drowned when in fact it was something else. The child's sister and the local doctor begin an investigation and that's when they'll wish they'd never started it by learning everything that's going on behind it.
