Includes several 1922 films: Walt Disney's "The Four Musicians of Bremen," Dave Fleischer's "Birthday," Otto Messmer's "Felix Makes Good," Paul Terry's "The Farmer and His Cat," Earl Hund's "Fresh Fish," Dave Fleischer's "Mechanical Doll," Otto Messmer's "Felix Fifty-Fifty," and Paul Terry's "Henry's Busted Romance".

60 Seconds of Solitude in Year Zero

An anthology of one-minute films created by 51 international filmmakers on the theme of the death of cinema. Intended as an ode to 35mm, the film was screened one time only on a purpose-built 20x12 meter public cinema screen in the Port of Tallinn, Estonia, on 22 December 2011. A special projector was constructed for the event which allowed the actual filmstrip to be burnt at the same time as the film was shown.

Uncommon Voices: Exploring Class in New British Cinema

A touring program of recent short films, commissioned by Film Hub Wales and delivered by the Independent Cinema Office, that showcases how contemporary working-class filmmakers depict working-class experiences in modern Britain. The program features films spanning various genres, from documentaries to flights of fancy, and aims to offer a richer, more complex, and creative perspective on working-class life beyond outdated stereotypes.

Afrocentricity

On the surface, this collection of shorts by up-and-coming African American filmmakers arrived at a perfect time. The cutting-edge products of the New Black Cinema of the early '90s had disappeared, giving way to embarrassingly stereotypical, scatological fare such as Booty Call and Next Friday. This feature-packed compilation (which includes production notes, interviews with all of the filmmakers, and audio commentary by four) attempts to prove that African American cinema is intent on moving past the lowbrow humor, as six of the seven shorts steer clear of any comedy.

Frank - The Man with the Camera

In 1960 Frank Glynn, a west of Ireland shopkeeper, bought an 8mm film camera. He would go on to record the social history of his village and much more besides.

Parajanov Triptych

Three short films by Sergei Parajanov, Hakob Hovnatanyan (1967), Kyiv Frescoes (1966) and Arabesques on the Theme of Pirosmani (1986). Scanned and restored from the original camera negatives in 4K by Fixafilm. Produced in association with National Cinema Centre of Armenia (NCCA), Dovzhenko Centre and Georgian Film. Scans for Hakob Hovnatanyan and Arabesques on the Theme of Pirosmani financed by Kino Klassika.

Film composed of nine short films. Short Stories 0, was released in 1993 and did not yet have that name because they were separate shorts. It would later become the prestigious annual short film competition for directors organized and produced by INCAA.

Gedenkboek voor Egmont

Against a backdrop of Gaasbeek castle, the residence of the Count of Egmont, Meyer pays homage to a desire for freedom and a zest for life. The desire for freedom behind the Netherlands' resistance to the Inquisition and the repressive politics of Philipp II and the zest for life shown by the people of the Netherlands. Goethe's text is a fitting accompaniment to this ode to freedom and justice and against cruelty and oppression.

Juan Jimenez. Séquence d'un film

Paul Meyer, an archivist who was always fascinated by his contemporaries, dedicates 8 episodes of the television series Ce pain quotidien to the immigration of foreign workers into Belgium. This series endeavours to touch on all aspects of immigration. In it we discover, among other things, the story of Juan Jiménez, a young man from Andalucía who leaves for Belgium in search of work. The clip shown here is a montage made by Meyer to introduce the series. We find out about Juan's youth and his passage to adulthood on the back of a mule.
