The Complete Jam serves up a staggering 49 performances, divided between 16 promotional videos (previously available on the |Video Snap VHS collection), a seven-song excerpt from a 1980 live show, and a staggering 26 more drawn from the best of the band's television performances, ranging from their U.K. debut on Marc Bolan's fondly remembered Marc through to their nine-song farewell performance on The Tube. A couple of entertaining interviews, a photo gallery, and a short (and, sadly, very poorly narrated) documentary on the band's history complete the portrait.

By combining semi-fictionalized and documentary material, this film is as definitive a record of the Pittsburgh punk scene during its nascent underground as anyone could hope for. Beroes' band footage is radical departure from the gimmickry of stereotyped rock band documentary in its use of pans and slow dollys, capturing small glimpses of the musicians at work that a 'PR' film would have avoided at all costs. The cinematography demands a reconsideration of the rock band documentary's hoary technical vocabulary. From the time this film was made changes have already taken place in Pittsburgh punk-dom as the bands have moved from an insular salon society to more 'legitimate' venues. Some say things are better than ever, others mourn the passing of Pittsburgh punk's innocence. Beroes in Debt Begins at 20 has produced not only entertainment, but also a small and very precious time capsule.

Punk activist collective Positive Force emerged in 1985, rising from the ashes of Revolution Summer. This feature-length film by Robin Bell skillfully mixes rare archival footage (including electrifying live performances from Fugazi, Bikini Kill, Nation of Ulysses, Anti-Flag, and more) with new interviews with key PF activists like co-founder Mark Andersen and supporters such as Ian MacKaye, Ted Leo, and Riot Grrrl co-founder Allison Wolfe. Covering a span of 25 years, More Than A Witness documents PF's Reagan-era origins, the creation of its communal house, FBI harassment, and the rise of a vibrant underground that burst into the mainstream amidst controversy over both the means and the ends of the movement. In the best punk fashion, PF volunteers have applied creative DIY tactics and radical critiques to issues of homelessness, racism, corporate globalization, sexism, and war while struggling to constructively address conflicting dynamics and visions within the group itself.

Punk Molotov

The band Coquetel Molotov came in 1981 in Rio de Janeiro, in the suburbs, in the neighborhood of Meier, most of the members were students and skaters the Campo Grande rink and Tatu and Lúcio Flávio as members, some time later, both conquer the national and international championships skate. Two other components were Cesar and Omar Nine. The Brazil was at that time a critical political situation and undefined, with many social changes; Punk came as a cry for freedom among young people with no future prospects, the periphery, the suburbs, the megalopolis, against a crushing system with huge social differences, the motto of the youth of that time was the "Do It Yourself".
