The colors of Iris

The story follows Iris at three points in her life: childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Divided into three chapters, the narrative adapts the tales of The Bremen Town Musicians, Little Red Riding Hood, and Cinderella to explore, at ages 10, 16, and 26 respectively, how the environment of each life stage influences her personality and perception of the world.

Eager to defend her father's ideas, Manuela confronts her cousins and grandparents, but an unexpected encounter leads her to confront herself instead. Hidden in the family's abandoned library, schizophrenic uncle Felipe is devoted to setting words free from the constraints of dogmas. His wisdom sets Manuela free from her own dogmas and forever changes her relationship with words, including her own name.
