The Legend of Zelda Concert 2018

This brand new Blu-ray contains the full orchestral concert of Legend of Zelda Concert 2018 performed in Dec. 14, 2018 at Tokyo Bunkamura Orchard Hall. This is the first concert in two years following the previous one which has celebrated the series' 30th anniversary. The concert puts the spotlight on the ocarina, harp, and accordion. Features well-known music from the latest game installment The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as well as legendary tunes from the previous episodes of the saga.

Dragon Quest Fantasia Video

Dragon Quest Fantasia Video is a direct-to-video live action production of the Dragon Quest series that was released by Enix in 1988. A silent reinterpretation of different elements of the Erdrick trilogy games set to various music from the games composed by Koichi Sugiyama and performed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. The video was planned and produced by Toshio Okada, who was then the head of anime studio Gainax, who worked on the movie's special effects, and Tohokushinsha Film.

Joan of Arc at the Stake

On November 17, 2012, Oscar-winning French actress Marion Cotillard joined the Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra for a performance of Arthur Honegger’s oratorio Joan of Arc at the Stake (Jeanne d'Arc au Bûcher) at the L'Auditori de Barcelona in Spain, broadcast live on Medici.tv. By Swiss composer Arthur Honegger, Jeanne d'Arc au Bûcher (1938) is an imposing oratorio. The libretto is a highly original creation by French poet and playwright Paul Claudel, who dramatises the last moments of the martyr's life. Originally written for actress Ida Rubinstein, the oratorio is written as a flashback in which Joan recalls her life, just before she dies. Honegger creates visually evocative ambiances and fills the orchestra with new sounds (saxophones, ondes Martenot). The initial prologue to the piece was added in 1944 as a symbol of the resistance during the Nazi occupation of France: again, Joan goes beyond her own story.

Connie Ward is in seventh heaven when Gene Morrison's band rolls into town. She is swept off her feet by trumpeter Bill Abbot. After marrying him, she joins the band's tour and learns about life as an orchestra wife, weathering the catty attacks of the other band wives.

Off to the Races

Part music video and part documentary, Off to the Races is a new arrangement of the classic Erhu song, Horse Race. The film is a collaboration between the Calgary Chinese Orchestra, filmmaker Vicki Van Chau, and music producer Warren Tse. Through an open call process, the film features 72 participants from the global music community playing with the members of the Calgary Chinese Orchestra, in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
