asking people on the street to take a seat in front of his camera in a big white tent. He offers them three real (about one euro) for three minutes of their solitude. The tent is located on a square in Recife, a large Brazilian city. people smile stiffly, wave, make the sign of the horns, defiantly lick their lips, or shed their tears.
Jorge is a private investigator that has a questionable character. He seeks information about the death of a young boy in a small city in the countryside of Brazil, that is full of unfriendly strangers. Nightmares with a woman that he has never seen before, Mariá, torments him. Their meeting, in a haunted woods, will reveal that it is not by chance that Jorge is part of this mysterious investigation.

Together with May, they go to a tavern, where a quarrel breaks out. The police arrive and arrest May. Her father comes to pick her up at the police station, where May also charms all the officers. Later, May brings her father to visit the tramps, who are offered jobs as a reward for their kindness and care.
