Documenting the making of my historical costumes. New videos monthly! I'm Dixie (yes, that's my real name) and I've been sewing clothes for over half my life and costumes for almost a decade. On this channel, I share my costuming journey - learning new techniques, challenging my skills, and chatting about life lessons learned at the point of a sewing needle. I focus mainly on Western European fashion from the 18th century onwards with some dabbling in medieval costumes and cosplay. My videos are casual accounts of my experiences, not necessarily tutorials but you may learn something new if you follow along. If you are a fellow costumer, looking to get into the hobby, or just like watching other people make stuff, welcome! [ History has often been filled with tragedy and injustice, historical costuming doesn't have to be. This is a BIPOC/LGBTQ+/plus-size/disability/et al-friendly channel. ]
