Urban Angel

Urban Angel is a Canadian television drama series, which aired on CBC Television from 1991 to 1993. Based on the memoirs of real-life Canadian journalist Victor Malarek, the show starred Louis Ferreira as Victor Torres, a crusading journalist for the Montreal Tribune. The series aired in the United States as part of CBS's late-night Crimetime After Primetime line up. The show's cast also included Vittorio Rossi, Dorothée Berryman, Vlasta Vrana, Ellen David, Dean Marshall, Michael Rudder, Macha Grenon and Sophie Lorain.

Boglands

In an isolated village in the north west of Ireland, a murder investigation begins when Garda Barry Roche finds a body buried in the bog. In the most personal of cases, Garda Conall Ó Súilleabháin discovers it is his mother, Sabine, who has been missing for 15 years. Conall is forbidden from working on the case, but is drawn into the investigation by a determined young journalist Ciara-Kate, who is using her true-crime podcast to expose the village's deepest secrets. Mammon

Peter Verås is an uncompromising journalist in the most respected newspaper in Norway. He makes his life’s biggest mistake when he gets hold of evidence of a financial fraud from an anonymous source. It turns out the evidence points to his own brother. As he still pursues and the story breaks, the brother commits suicide. Peter tries to track down the anonymous source, only to discover that the source was the brother himself. A search for the truth has commenced that involves media, high – ranked politicians as well as the financial elite. The closer he gets to the truth, the more dangerous it becomes for him and his brother’s family.

The Chronicle

The Chronicle is the name of a science fiction television series on the Sci Fi Channel. The series is based on the "News from the Edge" series of novels by Mark Sumner, a St. Louis, Missouri based author. The show was originally sold to NBC, which shot the pilot, then later found a home with The Sci-Fi Channel.

The Road: The Tragedy of One

A terrible child kidnapping incident takes place in a mansion complex, where only the top 1% of the most luxurious population reside. With no time to be shocked, the child returns dead and the killer is unknown. However, this incident was just the start of a tragedy. While the crowd is hiding the truth, there are some who start to reveal the twisted hypocrisy and ugly secret inside the mansion.

A gripping anthological relationship thriller series exploring the emotional fallout of a child's abduction not only on the family but on the wider community, told over two time frames.

Emily. Queen of the Press

A story about Emīlija Benjamiņa, the “queen of the press” in interwar Latvia, whose wealth and tragic fate have since become folklore. The film’s narrative covers the period from the beginnings of Emīlija’s magazine Atpūta (Recreation), to her arrest and slow demise in a train en route to Siberia. The most prominent clairvoyant of the time - Eugene Fink’s prophecy that Emīlija would die from starvation in a foreign land (which served to be true) weaves through the narrative as a red thread. With this strong woman at the centre of the story, the film shows Latvian society in all its richness and gives the audience the opportunity to meet many well-known historical figures.

The Walk-In

Forced to flee the UK and go into hiding in the 1990s, when he became a mole from within the BNP, Matthew Collins returned to Britain to make a new life for himself, working with young white men in the fight against radicalisation.

Deadline

Deadline is a television series which was shown on NBC in the 2000–2001 season. It starred Oliver Platt as Wallace Benton, who worked for the fictional New York Ledger. This was a daily newspaper which was seen in many episodes of Law & Order.

Hearts Afire

Frustrations and sparks fly in Washington, D.C. when a strict conservative hires a free spirited journalist as his boss's press secretary. Their mismatched political views lead to arguments... and attraction.

A World Without Commas

Dunia Tanpa Koma tells the story of Raya, a young female journalist in a weekly news magazine called Target, who tries to publicize a piece about a drug syndicate at her magazine.

Lowdown

Lowdown shines a torch on the life of a man whose job it is to feed the public's insatiable appetite for celebrity gossip. Alex Burchill, the author of the Lowdown column which appears in the once great but now ailing tabloid newspaper – the Sunday Sun. Each week Alex interviews celebrities for his column, and each week at least one of those celebrities ruins his week. Sometimes the celebrity gets drunk and punches Alex out. Sometimes the celebrity gets him arrested. Usually the celebrity sleeps with his girlfriend, Rita. It may not sound like much of a life, but it invariably leads to great copy and the readers love it. In fact, it's the only thing standing between the Sunday Sun and oblivion.

Hart to Hart

Much of the humour of the series derives from the clichés of both city and provincial lives, in a similar manner to the English comedy crime series Midsomer Murders.

Filmed in a film noir atmosphere and featuring Henry Mancini music that could tell you the action with your eyes closed, Peter Gunn worked in style. Known as Pete to his friends and simply as Gunn to his enemies, he did his job in a calm cool way.
